LIONEL Vinyl, the official King of Disco, has loaned his face and support to Blackpool Borough Council to help launch their latest direct debit campaign.
Approximately 4,000 national non-domestic rate (business rate) mandates and 40,000 council tax direct debit mandates have been sent out with the hip DJ's grinning face plastered all over them.
Lionel said: "I am honoured and proud that once again Blackpool Borough Council have asked me to get involved with one of their campaigns. It's always nice to give something back to the town, especially as Blackpool has been so good to me."
The council offered Lionel a substantial fee for his services, which he kindly asked to be donated directly to the Macmillan Windmill Cancer Appeal.
