A FLEETWOOD day centre for families has received a donation of more than £400-worth of children's toys.
The toy library at Anchorage Family Centre in Fleetwood is now bursting at the seams thanks to the donation by members of Fleetwood Working Men's Club.
They raised the money for the centre, which is run by social services, through a raffle at a recent meeting and used it to swell the number of toys for children. Lancashire County Councillor Clive Grunshaw made an appearance at a special ceremony in which the president of the cub, Bob Whittaker, handed over the toys to staff at the centre.
Coun Grimshaw said: "This is wonderful. The toy library is well used and offers children the opportunity to play with a wide variety of educational and stimulating toys that parents might otherwise not be able to afford."
