A BLACKPOOL bus driver was killed on January 23 when he was struck by another bus in the depot after finishing his shift.
Colin Baker, 61, from the Peel Corner, was declared dead at the scene by the ambulance crew.
At around 6.10pm, Mr Baker-- who was expecting to retire later in the year -- had parked his bus at the Blackpool Transport depot on Rigby Road and was walking across the yard.
He stepped into the path of a bus being driven by an engineer, who was readying the buses for the next day.
It is believed Mr Baker was crushed under the wheels of the bus.
An ambulance was called immediately but Mr Baker was dead by the time it arrived.
He had been a driver with Blackpool Transport for seven years.
A spokesman for Blackpool Transport said: "We are very shocked by the incident and a full internal enquiry is under way.
"We are also co-operating with the police and the Health and Safety Executive who are also investigating.
"Our sympathies go out to the family of Mr Baker."
An inquest was expected to be opened later in the week.
