A "CASH flow" involving Bury Lions will help set up a much-needed well in the Third World.
The club has donated £250 to the Water Aid/Water Wells organisation.
And the sum will be matched pound-for-pound by the Government.
Cash raised will go towards wells being established in needy countries.
Bury Lions has given money to this organisation in the past but the £250 was the club's largest donation to date.
A guest at the presentation of the cheque was Mr Stuart Tyrer, Lions North West and Isle of Man district governor.
He had been visiting Bury Lions as part of his tour of duty and was invited to attend the ceremony.
