POLICE are continuing their search for missing Bury man Zbigniew Lazurek.
Divers were this week checking more local lodges and reservoirs as concerns continue to grow.
The 50-year-old disappeared almost two weeks ago from his home in Peers Street, Bury, leaving a note indicating that he would drown himself. A quantity of prescribed morphine, used by Bury-born Mr Lazurek, was also missing.
Mr Lazurek's sister, Mrs Donna Thomson, has praised the efforts of everyone connected with the search for her brother.
She told the Bury Times: "We are grateful to everyone but especially to the police who have been extremely efficient and kind."
Mr Lazurek is described as white, 5ft 9in tall, with short, greying brown hair, blue eyes and glasses. Anyone with information should contact Bury police on 856 8150.
