TYLDESLEY Swimming Club will be mixing it with the best this weekend when they compete in the prestigious Deep Water Championships at Ponds Forge, Sheffield.
This invitation-only event is open to clubs who finish in the top half of the first division of the National League and after 10 years of trying Tyldesley have now received an invitation to compete from the Great Britain Federation.
They will be up against Portobello (Scotland), Lancaster, Rotherham, Bristol, Cheltenham, London Polytechnic and Penguin (Hammersmith).
The Tyldesley club is 125 years old in August, the second oldest competitive club in Great Britain.
