TOFFEE shop tales in recent Journal heritage columns aroused plenty of interest among readers.
One of them, Tommy Jackson, is anxious to see a 1960s' or early 70s' photograph of Evans's Bongs Toffee Shop in Elliott Street, Tyldesley.
"I've searched the archives to no avail," says Tommy, whose late mother-in-law Florence Collier served in the shop at the top of Lemon Street.
