AN up-to-the-minute-map of Lancashire -- showing the traditional boundaries of the county has been launched at County Hall Preston. The map was commissioned by the Friends of Real Lancashire. The boundaries of the traditional county have remained the same since the 12th century, despite changes in administrative areas. Five hundred copies will be distributed to Record Office, Public and Academic Libraries, Heritage and Information Centre throughout the traditional county area. The public may obtain a copy by sending a cheque for £4.35 made out to "Friends of Real Lancashire" to FORL, 1 Belvidere Park, Great Crosby, Lancashire, L23 OSP or FORL, 6 Heather Bank, Swarthmoor, Ulverston, Lancashire LA12 OXQ.
