A GROUP of Culcheth friends who love dancing have stepped out into the world of fund raising.
The trio, led by Hester Samuels, were so fed up of travelling miles to dances they decided to arrange one of their own.
And because they didn't want to make a profit they organised their first event at the village sports club in November. It proved such a success they have decided to have a second on February 10 at the same venue -- to raise funds for St Rocco's Hospice in Warrington.
The dance will be 50-50 ballroom and sequence with a bit of disco and rock and rock thrown in.
Hester said: "We are a group of single and widowed friends in our prime with lots of life left in us. "We love to dance and so do the 100 guests who turned up at our first event.
"This time we are hoping for more, and men with no dancing partners will be very welcome."
Tickets at £3 are available from the Sports Club on 01925 763096 or Hester on 01925 763048.
