A 48-YEAR-old man could be facing jail after a jury convicted him of sexually assaulting a girl.
Frank Pacynko was found guilty of one count of indecent assault, after a three-day trial, at Burnley Crown Court.
He was cleared of a further similar allegation.
The defendant, of Edward Street, Rishton, who denied both charges, was bailed until February 23, for a pre-sentence report.
He was warned by Judge Daivd Pirie that he could go to prison.
The jury had been told how Pacynko fondled the victim, making her nervous, but the child did not tell her mother.
Eventually, when she got older, she realised what had happened was very wrong and wanted to tell somebody about it.
The defendant told the police after his arrest that he had not touched the girl indecently.
