A NIGHTCLUB deputy manager and a former club owner were due to appear in court today charged with raping a 16-year-old girl.
The teenager claims the incident took place at Genesis nightclub, Hammerton Street, Burnley in the early hours of Friday.
The club's deputy manager Andrew Clark McCamon, 31, of Trinity Towers, off Accrington Road, Burnley, and Mushtaq Ahmed, 41, of Colne Road, Burnley, were arrested and charged.
Ahmed is former owner of the Equinox night club, Nelson, and his wife has the controlling interest of the Mill Bar, Burnley.
Both are charged with rape. Ahmed is also charged with an indecent assault on the same girl.
Detectives searched the club and are studying CCTV tapes taken during the evening.
The men were expected before Burnley Magistrates later today.
