BOOTLE 2 COLNE 1
SOMETHING unusual happened at Bootle on Saturday, Colne found out what it is like to be in front in a game.
But even the joy of going ahead through Luke Wallwork in the 23rd minute couldn't prevent Colne slipping to their 14th NWCL Division Two loss of a dismal campaign.
Colne actually held the lead until nine mintues into the second half when Paul Ryder equalised.
Bootle, just a couple of places better off, finally emerged triumphant to snatch three valuable points thanks to a Mark Roberts effort in the 62nd minute.
Fortunately for Colne the two teams below them in the table Ashton and Oldham, both lost, but 10 points from 19 outings represents a miserable return in what is proving to be a difficult season at Holt House.
