Craig seals win
ROSSENDALE reinforced their credentials as a team capable of challenging for the NWCL Division One top spot by returning from Prescot with all three points.
Steve Bird and Paul Lynch excelled as Dale bossed the home side for the majority of the game.
Steve Cunningham stooped low to flick home a Darren Borland corner on 25 minutes for a deserved lead.
On 73 minutes manager Jim McCluskie introduced top gun Craig Sargeson for his first game in five weeks and new signing Jamie Webster from Clitheroe.
And Sargeson made the game safe in typical fashion within five minutes of his introduction.
Webster found the striker outside the box with a delightful pass before the young striker lashed home an unstoppable half volley into the roof of the net.
