RAMSBOTTOM United took a two goal lead last night in the NWCL Worthington Challenge Trophy against big rivals Clitheroe at the Riverside Ground, but were pegged back for a draw.
The two will re-play tomorrow night Wednesday at Clitheroe.
Russell Brierley put the Rams in front from the penalty spot on 48 minutes, and this lead was increased by Darren Bowman on 57 minutes. United appeared to be cruising, but former Leigh RMI and Atherton LR striker Lee Cryer scored two in five minutes on 64 and 69 to force replay, after extra time failed to produce a clear winner.
