nEast Lancashire's pantomime season closes this week with the last performances of "Cinderella" at Trinity Church Hall, Parsons Lane, Clitheroe.

Norman Hornby and Steuart Kellington are the pair of dames who play the ugly sisters to Emily Croydon's Cinderella.

It runs from Thursday to Saturday at at 7.15pm each evening with a Saturday matinee at 2.15pm. Tickets cost £3 or £4 and are available by calling 01282 616440.

nWestholme School's young musicians are practising for a concert in the school's theatre on February 14.

nBlackburn Arts Club actors are rehearsing the period comedy "When We Are Married", set in Yorkshire a century ago.

The J B Priestley play focuses on three couples who get together to celebrate their joint silver anniversary.

nAcclaimed play "Whistle Down The Wind" will be performed by the Hippodrome Youth Group at the Hippodrome Theatre, Todmorden.

The play, recently revived as a West End musical, centres around a brother and sister who stumble on an escaped convict sleeping in a barn and believe he is Jesus.
