CLITHEROE Conservative Club invited Ribble Valley MP Nigel Evans to empty a charity bottle collection.
The cash, thought to be about £300, will go towards the Women's Trust Fund for Cancer Research at Manchester's Christie Hospital and the Holt Radium Institute.
The club's treasurer Edward Smillie (pictured on the left) and chairman Harry Heaton helped count the cash.
