VOLUNTEERS keen to get involved with their local countryside are being recruited in Bury.
Youths aged 18 years and over, can sign up to Bury Countryside Service as Volunteer Rangers.
Kathryn Fairclough, countryside ranger, said: "They will be working closely with rangers.
"They will be involved in important conservation work, site maintenance and patrols.
"Volunteers will all undergo a short training course which covers basic rangering skills.
"This is an ideal opportunity to get involved with the local countryside."
A new training scheme is due to start in March.
