A WOMAN had a change of heart after apologising to police for her involvement in a late night disturbance, a court was told.
Blackburn magistrates heard that as the officers left they looked back and saw Sonia Louise Leathered running towards the group of girls with whom she had been arguing and she was arrested.
Leathered, 24, of New Wellington Street, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Northgate. She was granted a conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered to pay £55 costs.
Lesley Halliwell, defending, said the offence was totally out of character. She had been attacked and she and her friends left to go to another pub.
"They were followed by this other group," said Miss Halliwell. "My client had far too much to drink and can remember little of the rest of the evening."
