TWO men who snatched a young woman and submitted her to a terrifying sex attack may have been from East Lancashire, police say.
The woman -- who had been taken on a nightmare car journey through Radcliffe during which she was sexually assaulted twice -- ran into the offices of a taxi firm to raise the alarm after being pushed out of the car naked.
Police said today the two men spoke with Lancashire accents, possibly from Blackburn or Burnley.
The 20-year-old girl's ordeal began when she was grabbed by the arm and forced into the car by an Asian male as she made her way home along Waterloo Street, Cheetham Hill, Manchester on Saturday night.
The girl was assaulted in the vehicle by the Asian man and an accomplice who then drove away at speed towards Radcliffe.
The vehicle pulled off a main road in the town and the victim was sexually assaulted for a second time, being forced to commit a number of sex acts.
She was then driven to Whitefield bus station where she was thrown naked from the car shortly after 1am on Sunday.
The terrified woman, who lives in North Manchester, ran screaming into a nearby taxi rank where staff alerted the police. Detectives want to speak to witnesses to the initial abduction of the girl in Cheetham Hill and to where she was abandoned in Whitefield.
The first attacker is described as a 20 year-old heavily built Asian man between 5ft 6ins and 5ft 8ins tall.
He had a skinhead and facial stubble and wore a long grey Asian-style shirt, grey trousers and a brown woollen jumper.
The second man was also about 20 years-old, slim and 6ft 2ins tall. He was clean shaven with short black hair and wore beige trousers and a beige cagoule-style coat.
The car is only said to be an old gold coloured vehicle.
