I FIND it hard to have much sympathy for the people who parted with £60 to £70 for 'camcorders' that turned out to be nothing but a bag of flour.
Consider the ploy. A run-down old car pulls up at the kerbside and out gets a scruffily dressed salesman offering a camcorder inside a holdall for a knock-down price.
Only an idiot or someone not too bothered about receiving stolen goods would not care.
So, when after a smart switch and with the salesman haring off with the dupe's dosh, it turns out that the mugs have bought a couple of pounds of self-raising, the deserved reaction -- crime though this may be -- is that it serves them right!
After all, one way or another, whether willingly or unconcernedly, were they not also ready to assist another crime -- that of ?
It would also serve them right if the flour was 'hot' as well.
