FORMER French international Marc Keller today joined the Matt Jansen fan club as the numbers urging England coach Sven Goran Eriksson to run the rule over the Rovers striker grow.
Keller -- who won 12 caps with the French national team -- has been mightily impressed by some of his new team-mates since his move from West Ham United earlier this month.
But the 33-year-old midfielder has identified Jansen in particular as a future England star in the making, providing he continues to develop at his present rate.
"A lot of nice things have been said about Matt Jansen and he's clearly very talented," said Keller.
"I believe he can score as many goals in the Premiership as he has done so far in Division One.
"His left foot is fabulous.
"And, for sure, he has a great future with the English team.
"I realised again on Saturday how talented this Rovers team is and how much potential we have for the future.
"Our young players, such as Damien Duff, David Dunn and Jansen are all very good."
Former Strasbourg star Keller has been quick to settle at Ewood following his switch from Upton Park.
And, after playing his part in Saturday's FA Cup clash with Derby, he is convinced Rovers could cut it in the Premier League if they achieved their goal of promotion.
"It was disappointing we didn't win," said Keller.
"But, on the positive side, we saw how close we are from the Premiership in terms of quality.
"We now know we can compete with a low-ranked team from the top division and I think we could have won."
Meanwhile, a couple of Spanish clubs are believed to be tracking Rovers' transfer-listed winger Keith Gillespie.
The former Newcastle United star -- reportedly a target for Belgium side Anderlecht and Portugal's Sporting Lisbon recently -- is currently available on a free and would welcome the chance to resurrect his career on the continent.
But, as yet, no-one has contacted Rovers to request permission to speak to the player.
And, despite a recent loan spell in the Second Division with Wigan Athletic, his opportunities to impress watching scouts having been hit by the weather.
"It's not an ideal scenario when the last two reserve games have had to be postponed," said Gillespie.
"So it's just a case of going in and training hard -- that's all I can do.
"I'm confident that something will happen soon and it's not getting me down.
"We had a friendly at the training ground against Oldham last week and we've had two or three others in the past two or three weeks.
"So that's kept us going."
