I DON't know whether to feel relieved or disappointed now it is revealed that Neil Bramwell is leaving.

I usually disagreed with his views and always with his vituperative style, but he usually published my letters criticising him.

I shall miss him -- will his successor give me reason to put pen to paper?

May I wish him well in his future career? May I welcome his replacement with the hope that his tones will be more measured and his opinions more objective?
