WHEN they made the last bunch of freemen of the town, I scratched my head and I couldn't quite honestly think of anyone.
Well this week, I've got the man who should have been top of the list. His name is Dr W. Roberts who I swear, keeps the Health Service going on his own. I have been treated by him at St Helens Minor Injuries Department and Whiston Accident and Emergency department.
I'm told at times he clocks off at St Helens at 5pm and clocks on at Whiston at 5.30pm for the night. What a shining example to us all. I would suggest that the powers that be remember his name when handing out gongs.
To Dave Watts, MP, why not make him Sir W. Roberts as you and everyone who meets him will find him a mild and gentle man who never gets flustered and quickly puts you at ease.
