AS I needed to use the toilet while shopping in the Hardshaw Centre I asked one of the cleaners why there were none.
I was told the reason was something to do with the drainage and that I could use Woolworth's toilet.
Why should Woolworths supply toilets for all the other shops in the centre? Do the employees of the Hardshaw Centre all go to Woolworth's or is each shop supplied with toilet facilities, if so why not toilets for the shoppers?
There must be a few hundred people who use the centre each day, some with children who can't wait.
If it comes to the cost, why not put a charge on each toilet to pay for an attendant to make sure they are used properly? The Hardshaw Centre is used as much, if not more. than St Mary's market which has toilets.
I know there is one at the bus depot, but try taking a shopping trolley or pram in there.
