Parr Hare & Hounds 24 Burtonwood Bridge 30
HOUNDS are still seeking their first win of the season despite a spirited performance against promotion contenders Bridge.
After trailing 16-8 at the break, the home side had the better of a ding-dong second half but were never quite able to peg the visitors back.
Hounds' tries came from Tony Halsall, Mark Houghton, Paul Sherwood and Neil Briers, with Kevin Parylo adding four goals.
In a good, all-round team effort the losers were best served by back-row forwards Mike Corrigan and Mick Burke, with half-backs Paul Martin and Neil Briers also showing some nice touches and veteran prop Paul Sherwood rolling back the years with a rock-solid display.
