HERE is this week's contribution from the Real Progress independent supporters association to The Citizen's new series, Standpoint which gives Blackpool fans a chance to give their views about the club.

Congratulations to Steve McMahon, his staff and players, for the flawless start to the New Year!

Clean sheets, maximum points; it doesn't get better than that.

Saturday's match was one we might well have lost even six months ago; a tough, scrappy match, missing the flair of a Paul Simpson - but let's at least be glad that 1- 0 scorelines are now going our way.

This is the kind of run which gets fans returning, boosts confidence, and allows us to dream not simply of the play offs but that third automatic promotion spot, and the vital return to Division 2.

We are now breathing down the necks of the play-off teams -- it's hard to remember earlier in the season we were second from bottom! Hopefully this will bring back the stay-away fans. Let's see you all at Bloomfield Road on Saturday as we take on Scunthorpe - as we hope to succeed where Burnley failed!

Off the field, it's an exciting time for all who want Real Progress as well.

We expectantly watch for the final confirmation that Stadium Contracts have been signed, and await the first physical signs of the much-heralded redevelopment of Bloomfield Road.

Our lapsed supporters survey is proving to be a huge success. Thank you to everyone who has taken part so far: your views will be made known to the club.

The next Real Progress public meeting will be held on Saturday at the Waterloo Hotel at 1.15pm, prior to the match.

Everyone is welcome to attend: come along; make you views known, because it's YOUR VIEWS THAT COUNT.
