Spotland Rangers 24 Haresfinch 0
AN under-strength Finch side were no match for a well-drilled Spotland outfit.
With their half-backs making numerous openings, Spotland quickly took control and built up a 16-0 half-time lead.
Finch improved after the break but they couldn't break down the solid home defence, despite the strong running of second-rows Ian Derbyshire and Gareth Brown and prop Ste Marsh.
Veteran loose-forward Karl Farrall took the Franco's Wholesale man-of-the-match, the Fran's News player-of-the-match was full-back Dave Penny and there were good efforts too from prop John Woods, scrum-half Shaun Kilgannon and centre Ste Thompson.
