TV LICENSING'S Target Zero campaign caught 110 dodgers during a month-long crackdown in Lancaster.
Target Zero has a single mission - to target all unlicensed addresses and drive towards zero evasion in the UK. The LA 1 and 2 postcode area came under the spotlight during December 2000.
Doug Mullin, Regional Manager for TV Licensing, said: "We still find it difficult to accept that people will go to any lengths to try and evade paying for a TV licence. Despite the fact that our Target Zero campaign in Lancaster was published at the beginning of December we still caught 110 evaders."
He continued: "With more ways to pay for your TV licence, it simply is not worth the hassle or the embarrassment of us catching up with you, as licence evaders in Lancaster have recently discovered."
