AN interactive workshop designed to encourage couples to work together through their problems is coming to St Helens later this month.
'Developing Closeness in Marriage' aims to provide an opportunity for couples to spend time together in a relaxed and positive environment and to escape the stresses and strains of life which can often lead to marriage difficulties.
The workshop is suitable for all couples who want to continue to grow close - from those celebrating their Golden Jubilee to those who are just starting out. They will be given the opportunity to learn better communication skills, how to talk about thoughts and feelings in a way that will deepen closeness, how to understand each other better and how to discuss differences without ending up angry or upset.
While couples will be encouraged to work through issues together, there will be no group work and no one has to talk to anybody else other than their partner throughout the session. Workshops will be run by leader couples trained by the founders of Rapport, Peter and Barbie Reynolds.
The Developing Closeness in Marriage workshop will be held at St Helens CLC, Atherton Street on Wednesday 28th February. Cost per couple is £10. For more information and a brochure contact the CLC office on 01744 606230 (office hours 9 am - 1 pm).
