A BOYFRIEND brandished two kitchen knives during a row with his partner, a court heard.
Blackburn magistrates were told that after emptying drawers and smashing items in the kitchen Andrew Pugh emerged with the knives, in a threatening manner.
The he went upstairs and started to slash the bed. Pugh, 39, of Gordon Street, Darwen, admitted breach of the peace and was bound over in the sum of £50 to keep the peace for six months.
Oliver Goldman, defending, said Pugh's partner had been drinking on the day of the incident and she was in a foul mood.
She began swearing and shouting. "He wasn't in the best of health and things got out of hand," said Mr Goldman.
