NORTH West Water is replacing 27 kilometres of obsolete cast iron mains with modern plastic materials in streets in the Moss Bank and Clinkham Wood areas of St Helens.
The work, which began on January 29 and is scheduled to be completed in August, is part of an ongoing programme by North West Water. The company say it will result in better water pressure, fewer bursts and fewer instances of discoloured water.
