IAN Millward and several of his St Helens World Club Championship winning squad will be at Hilton Park on Sunday to thank the Leigh public for the part they played in Saints' victory over Brisbane Broncos.
The former Leigh coach and his players will parade the famous trophy around the ground during the half time interval of the Centurions' NFP clash with Rochdale.
Millward admits he was 'overwhelmed' by the messages of support and good luck he and his family received from Leigh fans before last Friday's stunning victory at the Reebok.
"I was taken aback by the support we received from Leigh people. It was very important for us to feel that the Leigh public was 100 per cent behind our efforts. This town and the Leigh club will always have a special place in our hearts," he says.
Leigh's commercial manager Kevin Ashcroft says that the Centurions also wanted to show their support and add their congratulations to St Helens.
"Ian wanted to do it and we were only too happy to oblige. I'm sure the Leigh fans will give Ian and his team the reception they deserve," says Ashcroft."
