IT WAS school as normal for pupils at Queens Park High School today after a suspected arson attack.
Firefighters were called to the building, in Haslingden Old Road, Blackburn, around 8.35am on Sunday when a fire broke out in a store room.
Station-officer Kevin Gibson said: "We are treating it as suspicious. There appears to have been be two main seats of fire which caused severe damage to a store room and smoke damage to a ground-floor classroom."
Headteacher Vicki Devonport said: "It will be school as normal for everyone. Luckily the officers got the fire under control very quickly so there was only minimal damage.
"The store room had a lot of text books in it which have been damaged either by the fire or the water."
