WARRINGTON 4 COLNE 0
ROOKY goalkeeper Ross Baxter turned in a superb show but couldn't prevent Colne slipping to defeat against high-flying Warrington.
Baxter's hoerics -- he was only playing because of an injury to Andy Moore -- kept Warrington at bay and enabled Colne to go in with a very creditable 0-0 at the halfway point.
But even 17-year-old Baxter could do nothing to prevent Mike Heveron putting the home side ahead six minutes after the restart.
Colne, missing experienced campaigners like Gary Dalton and player-manager John Lister, tried hard to get back in the picture.
But three goals in the final quarter of an hour -- two of them in the last minute -- made it yet another defeat.
Gary Truitt scored Warrington's second before Stuart Honer and Heveron's second gave the scoreline a rather flattering look in Warrington's favour.
Another top of the table side await Colne's attentions on Tuesday -- a trip to Blackpool Mechanics.
