WITH the number of people who vote in elections continuing to decline, there are calls for voting to be made compulsory.
If this was ever introduced, it would put people in the Nationalist community (I am talking about people like myself, an English nationalist), in a real dilemma.
If they did not vote they would face prosecution. If they did vote for the parties on the ballot papers, which are almost invariably Conservative, Labour or Liberal Democrat, they would be betraying their political convictions.
The only way out of their dilemma, as far as I can see, would be for me to write 'English Nationalist' across the ballot paper.
