ARMED police arrested a man and recovered a shotgun after an incident in Bury on Sunday night (Feb 3).
The drama happened in Garstang Drive after the gunman entered a house at 11.30pm.
Police say that family members escaped and alerted police to what they said was a domestic incident.
Armed officers were called to the scene and kept watch outside. At one stage, they trailed the man when he left in a car.
He returned a short time later and was arrested when he emerged from the house again at 12.30am yesterday (Mon Feb 5)
Officers scoured the property and the surrounding area for a weapon, which was discovered in a nearby field at 7am.
