BEING the manager of Burnley would be a dream come true for us fans, but it does have its drawbacks -- you have to be able to take criticism.
However, Stan Ternent, our deity, seems to be in a world of his own when it comes to tactics. But, hey! aren't we all football managers on a Saturday afternoon?
Criticism comes with the territory. Being able to accept it and learn by it without reacting would make you a divine being.
So, let's get back to basics -- we, the fans, will stop booing, if you, the footballers, learn to pass the ball from A to B on the floor -- to a player on your own side.
"Route One" football is all well and good when you have six-foot-plus players up front. I think the strikers we have would need to be stood in grow bags from Monday to Friday to reach that height.
Finally, take a leaf out of Jimmy Mullen's book, Stan, and sit in the stands for a full game without trying to criticise or boo. You would truly be a divine being if you succeeded.
