DAVID Dunn is Blackburn Rovers through and through -- as well as having the potential to be a world class player and England captain.
It is great to watch a player of his quality, with so much commitment to Rovers each week.
So, who does J Arnold think he is, telling Dunny to "grow-up" (Sports Letters, January 30) because he may have to consider a move to another club if Rovers don't get promoted soon. He is not being childish -- he is being realistic.
Most Rovers' supporters recognise that our current team deserves to be in the Premiership -- and the fact that unless we are promoted in a season or two, we will lose players.
Not because they are not committed to the club, nor because they are childish, but because unless we are playing teams like Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool, players will not be being offered the level of football they deserve.
I, for one, was pleased to hear that David may be signing an extended contract and fans should get behind the team, not pick on them for expressing their opinion and being honest with fans.
