MEETING: PC Roy Curwen with Carrie Poskitt, left, project manager for the Sustainability Action Partnership, and Brunshaw Estate residents PEOPLE living on the Brunshaw estate, in Burnley, discussed their concerns about traffic and crime in their neighbourhood with the police at a residents' meeting.
The meeting, at the Belmont Community Centre, was organised so that residents could discuss the outcome of a public consultation which was carried out for the area's Planning for Real project. The police listened to their worries and offered advice and an action plan will be drawn up from the ideas which were put forward.
The next action plan meeting will be held at 6pm on Monday, February 19 when residents will discuss health and leisure, followed by community training and employment on February 26 and housing and environment on March 5.
