ON behalf of all the staff and volunteers at the Women's Royal Voluntary Service (WRVS), I would like to thank you for your support throughout last year.
WRVS is one of the largest and most active volunteering organisations in the country. In partnership with the public and private sectors, it is committed to providing the highest standard of care and support that will be of value to those within the community.
It is therefore essential that public are aware of the services we provide. The excellent coverage you have given us in the St Helens Star has helped to ensure that people in the region are more aware than ever before of services such as Books on Wheels, toy libraries, contact centres, tea bars in hospitals, prisons and magistrates courts, Meals on Wheels -- all provided by WRVS.
We look forward to building on our successes this year with your continued support.
HELEN Mellor, media relations officer, Women's Royal Voluntary Service.
