I WOULD just like to say a big thank-you to the heartless driver who ran over our pet Jack Russell on Friday, January 26 and killed him instantly in Southey Road, Grange Park at 6 pm and did not have the decency to stop and apologise.
I would just like him to know how he has left my whole family -- my wife and myself are distraught and the kids are crying themselves to sleep at night. I do hope his conscience (if he has one) lets him sleep at night.
I know he was a little beggar sometimes, chasing cars, but unfortunately that's what some dogs do, but he did not deserve to die like he did in front of children playing in the street.
I just hope the driver can live with himself to run over his neck and head and leave him there to die. If he has a family pet I hope this never happens to him, because he will know exactly how all our family and friends feel.
Patch was 11 years old and very much a big part of our family, he was very much loved by us and will sadly missed.
Heartbroken, Grange Park (name & address supplied).
