IN LAST week's Citizen you asked the question 'who could take over from the MBI regime' ?
In many respects the answer is simple - anyone (and I do mean anyone) could do better then the current MBI group as they are a loose coalition of political wannabes who have neither policies nor principles. Their incompetence and mismanagement will scar this city for many many years to come.
An average group of Year 11 school pupils could well do a better job of managing the city's affairs than the MBI's - they would certainly be more in touch and less disrespectful than the MBI's who appear to have a policy of charging the Council Tax payer more for delivering less and less. The MBI's are currently considering making devastating cuts to voluntary organisations across the district - a cowardly stance, taking away services from the poorest and most vulnerable in the community.
Once again we see the MBI's targeting those in the community who have no voice.
In truth, any of the other political groups would serve Lancaster better than the MBIs - whilst they might make mistakes, they at least have policies and principles on which they stand.
