REAL Progress. The two words succinctly sum up the last seven days for Blackpool FC.
There has been Real Progress off the field at Bloomfield Road with the fabulous news that the green light has at last been given for the new North and West Stands to be built.
And there's more Real Progress on the field as Pool close in on the play-off positions in Division 3 following the exhilarating performance against Scunthorpe.
Has the club turned the corner and finally emerged from the abyss to put much-needed smiles back onto the faces of our so-loyal band of supporters? The omens are more promising now than for a long time but let's remember this is just the beginning and the Real Progress must continue. Our public meeting at the Waterloo Hotel on Saturday was a big success. Support for Real Progress is growing each week and I would like to thank all who attended including 'Pool chairman Karl Oyston who came along to listen and to learn more about us. The many views and questions raised were first class and we hope to be able to answer them when we establish a communication link with the club.
Our Lapsed Supporters Survey continues and we are aiming to 'widen the net' before it ends to trawl in the maximum number of opinions.
Please help us -- I'm sure most of you know someone who used to follow 'Pool' but now find other things to do on a Saturdays. Our membership is rising sharply with more than 200 fans now joined including a good few lapsed fans which is refreshing to report.
For a limited period we are offering free membership to Real Progress. If interested drop me a line with your name, address and telephone number. In this week of successes it's only correct to finish on a high note. It's now four league wins on the reel for the Seasiders, four clean sheets and thirteen goals scored in the process.
The final five minutes could have produced more goals but just maybe we're saving a special seven goal salvo for the return match with Barnet in April!
