RELAX and let the lotions soothe your stress away.
That's the advice for Kay Leatherbarrow and Denise Kelly after winning free sessions of alternative therapy at 'Stress Buster'events staged in Haydock and Newton.
The prize-winning pair had their names picked out after completing feedback forms about the events, which were organised in conjunction with the St Helens & Knowsley Community Trust Health Promotions Team and focused on ways in which people can reduce stress and anxiety.
Visitors were invited to sample some of the wide range of alternative treatments including free sessions of aromatherapy and reflexology.
Kay will now receive six free sessions of aromatherapy, while Denise can look forward to six free sessions of reflexology.
Denise said: "The whole day was really enjoyable and gave me lots of ideas on what alternative treatments there are and how I can benefit."
Liz Bates, Newton and Haydock Primary Care Chief Officer said: "The Primary Care Group were delighted by the support these events received from the local community and the subsequent interest they created. Stress can lead to other, more-serious illnesses, such as heart disease and mental health problems. These two days were a real step forward in helping local people take back control of their own health."
