I AM writing to congratulate The Citizen for the super coverage given to Preston North End this season.

Many fans are genuinely surprised to see their team doing so well, even though Preston have never looked out of their depth in Division One.

Your sports page is very informative and offers information which is unbiased and devoid of player/manager criticism -- unlike other newspapers I could mention.

Preston's recent run of bad form was made easier without the usual gripes and fingers of blame pointing at the manager and players.

It's good to see a local paper refusing to criticise the club and get right behind a team which I believe are going to be there or thereabouts at the end of this season.
