A NEW scheme to make the town's parks safer has been launched in Taylor Park.
'Park Watch' is a combined venture between St Helens Council, its Ranger Service, Merseyside Police and the community to encourage members of the public to report incidents. Rangers will patrol the park and organise a variety of conservation tasks and fun events for children.
Signs giving information about the scheme are in place at all the main entrances to Taylor Park. These also include the police hot-line number, 0151 777 6969, to contact if they spot any trouble.
