TEAM leaders and helpers are required to join the team organising the National Census in April.
Successful candidates will be responsible for delivering and explaining census forms to households and chasing up non-returns.
The work will be part-time, mainly weekends and during the evening, and the pay will be set accordingly.
St Helens census district manager Mike Callaghan said: "It is the responsibility of every householder to complete a census form. Since early November, myself and five other district managers have been conducting district checks, recording new developments and demolitions, as well as dividing the area into suitable workloads."
You can obtain an application form from the job centre in Barrow Street or ring the hot-line on 0845 306 2001.
