PAUL Terzis puts Leigh's amazing early season success down to one simple fact - hard work.
The Centurions' work ethic has brought them nine wins on the bounce since the start of the season and has rewarded them with a crack at Super League neighbours Salford on Sunday.
"We have had an amazing start it's not something that's happened overnight," says the Hilton Park boss. "These players have worked hard in the off season and they work hard week to week. Now they're starting to reap the benefits of their labours."
Terzis admitted that Sunday's 48-0 win over Rochdale gave him even more satisfaction that the 70-0 walloping of Workington a few night before.
"It's been a great start to the season to beat every other team on this side of the Pennines. The players, club and fans deserve a great pat on the back because it's a great achievement. Of all the games so far I've probably got the biggest smile on my face today.
"I was pleased that we stuck with our expansive style despite the conditions. That's the way we like to play our rugby league.
"Our attack is in good shape and I'm not sure how many times Leigh have nilled the opposition in successive games. That makes me very happy with the way our defence is shaping. Communication and a willingness to work for each other is the key.
"Ask any coach what pleases them most and they'll say keeping the opposition scoreless. We work hard in that area and its paying dividends at the moment."
