THOSE of us that have watched the story of the Indian earthquake unfold cannot begin to guess at the horrors being experienced by people across the world. Please give a little to help at this terrible time to help people rebuild their lives.
I would like to thank members of the public who have offered Oxfam items of clothing and toys to send to India, but at this stage, I must point out that we at a local Oxfam level are currently accepting donations of money only and not gifts in kind.
As always, we are extremely grateful to members of the public for their kind donations of clothing, toys, books, etc. These will be sold in our shops to raise funds for Oxfam International to literally save lives at this time.
LORI MARSDEN, Shop Manager, Oxfam, Lord Square, Blackburn.
