WAITERS could be served up with a treat in a new competition to find Britain's best waiter.
Judges are not just searching for someone who can carry plates, they are looking for someone with enthusiasm and charisma, who deserves the opportunity of a lifetime to further their career.
The 2001 winner will receive £2,500 in cash and £1,750 towards training.
Entrants must have been working in the food service in the UK for at least three years.
There will be up to eight regional finals around the country and the national final will be hosted by TV presenter Carol Smillie at Claridge's.
